Core terms

Terms of Service
Barmatch is a neutral marketplace that introduces hospitality workers and venues. We are not your employer, staffing agency, or supervisor, we do not control the work or anyone's conduct, and we are not responsible for the behavior, work, injuries, incidents, or insurance of any worker or venue — you use Barmatch and accept or post shifts at your own risk. We do not guarantee that you will find shifts or workers. Who pays the worker depends on the shift's payment model — Managed Pay (Barmatch pays the worker) or Match Fee Only (the venue pays the worker directly). You must be 18 or older, give accurate information, keep contact and payment on-platform until a booking unlocks them, and follow our safety rules. By using Barmatch you accept these Terms, including the limitation of liability, assumption of risk, and release sections. We can suspend accounts for fraud, false information, off-platform bypass, harassment, or payment abuse.
Privacy Policy
We collect the information needed to match shifts, verify trust and identity, process shift payments and tips, keep the marketplace safe, and operate the Service. Tip records include the method, gross amount, 10% digital-tip fee, worker share, and status. We share necessary transaction data with Stripe. We do not sell your personal information for money, and you can exercise your rights from Privacy Choices.
Payment Terms
There are two payment models. Venues pay a separate 3.9% card and platform fee on the entire Barmatch card subtotal; the estimated booking portion is always non-refundable, and any increase is added at settlement. In Managed Pay, the business approves the timesheet within 12 hours and the final charge includes the shift amount plus any digital tip added at approval. Workers receive 90% of a digital tip and Barmatch retains 10%. Cash tips can be marked paid with no Barmatch fee. In Match Fee Only, the business pays the worker directly. Stripe handles card data; Barmatch never stores full card numbers.
Managed Pay & Match Fee Only Guide
A plain-English guide to Barmatch payments. Managed Pay finalizes the approved shift amount and any digital tip in one transaction during the 12-hour approval window. Workers receive 90% of digital tips and Barmatch retains 10%. Cash tips may be marked paid with no Barmatch fee. Match Fee Only means the venue pays the worker directly.

Privacy & data

California Privacy Notice
If you live in California, you have rights to know what we collect, to delete and correct it, to opt out of sale or sharing, to limit the use of sensitive personal information, to data portability, and to not be treated differently for using these rights. We honor the Global Privacy Control as an opt-out signal, and you can use an authorized agent. Submit requests from Privacy Choices.
Cookie and Tracking Policy
We use strictly necessary cookies to run the app and keep it secure — these can't be turned off. Analytics and marketing tools are optional and off by default; they only run if you turn them on. Rejecting non-essential tracking is just as easy as accepting it, and we never run optional tracking on identity, payment, document, messaging, or Security Centre screens.
Data Security and Encryption Notice
We protect data with role-based access, restrictions on private fields, audit logs, and provider-backed security for payments and identity. Card data is handled by Stripe, not stored by Barmatch, and raw ID/biometric data stays with the identity provider. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your data safe and your private details locked until booking rules are met.
Location Privacy Notice
Workers set their location and travel radius. Businesses see approximate distance before booking — never a worker's exact location. Venue locations are shown for shifts. Maps use provider services, and location is used for matching and safety, not for marketing without proper consent.
Document and CV Privacy Notice
Resumes, CVs, and certifications you upload are private by default and never shown publicly. Barmatch Intelligence may read them to support your profile and detect risk. Raw documents are only visible under specific rules. Uploading false documents can lead to account action, and you can request deletion.

Marketplace & safety

Cancellation and No-Show Policy
Honor confirmed bookings. Late cancellations and no-shows by either side may carry fees and affect your trust score and account standing. When a worker cancels, Smart Replace helps fill the gap. You can dispute a charge you believe is unfair.
Dispute Resolution Policy
Disputes — about timesheets, payments, no-shows, cancellations, safety, reviews, or verification — are handled through our in-app process. You submit evidence, we review within a reasonable timeline, and in Managed Pay we can hold or adjust funds. In Match Fee Only, wage disputes are primarily between the worker and the venue.
Review and Ratings Policy
Reviews come only from real, completed bookings — one per side, per booking. No fake, machine-generated, paid, or retaliatory reviews, and no private information. We don't hide reviews just for being negative, but we remove abusive, fraudulent, or rule-breaking ones, and we log every moderation action. You can appeal a removal.
Safety and Anti-Harassment Policy
Everyone deserves a safe, respectful experience. Harassment, threats, hate, violence, and unsafe conditions are prohibited. Report concerns in-app — we review reports and can suspend accounts. In an emergency, contact local emergency services first.
Contact Guard and Anti-Bypass Policy
Contact Guard keeps private contact details protected until a booking is confirmed, and helps detect attempts to move a relationship off-platform to avoid fees. It exists for safety, payment protection, and fairness — not surveillance. Contact details unlock once booking rules are met. Repeated bypass attempts can affect your trust score.
Age and Alcohol Role Eligibility Policy
Barmatch is 18+ only. Alcohol-facing roles may require 21+, state eligibility, and a valid certification — rules vary by state and venue type. Businesses must disclose alcohol duties, workers must provide an accurate date of birth and certifications, and Barmatch may block restricted roles. Your date of birth is never shown to businesses — they see only your eligibility status.
Community Guidelines
Be honest, professional, and respectful. No fraud, no harassment, no discrimination, no off-platform bypass. Keep the marketplace safe and trustworthy for everyone.
Accessibility Statement
We want Barmatch to be usable by everyone. We aim to follow recognized accessibility guidelines, support screen readers and keyboard navigation, respect reduced-motion settings, and keep text readable. If you hit an accessibility barrier, tell us and we'll work to fix it.
